The Cuban goat breeder known as Rita, who became famous after surviving a boat wreck with Elian Gonzales and later recieved the first succesful anal sphincter transplant when a stray bullet nearly cost him his ability to deficate, announced on Friday his plans to bring Cuban music to the world. Citing the success of Ricky Martin and the acceptance of salsa music, Rita stated that he would begin touring in April throughout Cuba and Central America with more dates to follow. The Tour entitled Salsapalooza would feature Rita's unique vocal stylings along with four of the original members of Manudo, Ricky Ricardo Jr., and Carmen Maranda. Also through the first five dates comedic relief would be provided by the talented Howie Mandel. "My plan is too take all things Cuban or Mexican and combine them into a giant salsa melting pot," said Rita. In conjunction with the tour Rita said that his new CD Lickin La Chicle boca would be released this week in both of Cuba's record stores.
